Why do Canadians feel so tense now? Canadians seem angrier, more divided and are less trusting than before. Has immigration impacted the state and solidarity of our country? Millions of Canadians can feel the shift. Let’s get into it.
Canadians are experiencing a profound collective grief over the loss of what many see as Canada’s core identity and social fabric. This mourning is directed toward an obvious weakening of traditional Canadian values, which includes personal freedoms and rights, the cost of living, healthcare access and everyday living for Canadians. Gas and food prices, unemployment, the education system and immigration policies are also major concerns. Visitors are even labelling Canada as 3rd world. What happened to the Canada we all once loved?
Some might say that this new progressive Canada is a good thing, but others would disagree and are truly mourning the loss of the wonderful and thriving Canada we all once knew. For many, it’s just too overwhelming and moving forward while trying to accept a new reality has become a chore.
